LVA Education Foundation Awards Expanded Scholarships at 18th Annual Commencement Ceremony

The Lehigh Valley Academy Regional Charter School (LVA RCS) marked its 18th annual commencement ceremony with a significant milestone as the LVA Education Foundation expanded its scholarship program to support graduating seniors of the Class of 2026.

Originally, four scholarships, each valued at $1,500, were planned for distribution. However, following a highly competitive selection process and an exceptional pool of applicants, the Foundation increased the awards to five scholarships, bringing the total scholarship distribution to $7,500 for the graduating class.

This year’s scholarship cycle recorded 26 applications, making the selection process more competitive than in previous years. According to the Foundation, applicants demonstrated outstanding academic performance, leadership qualities, and a strong commitment to personal and community development.

Merit-Based Selection Process

The LVA Education Foundation Scholarship Committee conducted a blind review process to ensure fairness and objectivity. Applications were assessed strictly on merit, achievements, and the strength of each submission, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to equity and academic excellence.

The Foundation expressed that the caliber of applicants this year was “truly exceptional,” reflecting the growing talent and dedication among graduating students.

Community-Supported Funding

The scholarship program was made possible through the combined support of community partners, including the Lehigh Valley Private Equity Fund, Metz Culinary Management, and Arbor Insurance Group. The Foundation itself also contributed to funding the fifth scholarship in recognition of the outstanding achievements of the Class of 2026.

A key contributor highlighted in the program was Tejas Gosai, whose partnership through LVPEFund and GIV100 played a role in sustaining and expanding the scholarship initiative.

Impact and Recognition

The Education Foundation emphasized its gratitude to sponsors, committee members, and all student applicants. It noted that the continued success of the scholarship program reflects the shared values of excellence, opportunity, and community investment within the LVA ecosystem.

Recipients of this year’s scholarships were commended for their accomplishments and encouraged to continue making meaningful contributions in their future academic and professional journeys.
