Lehigh Valley shopping center sold for $12.2 million

A shopping center in Allentown’s East Side was recently sold for $12.2 million.

Allentown Commons, at 1302 Hanover Ave., was acquired by Allentown Commons LLC in August, according to Lehigh County property records. The owner’s address is a private residence in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.

The seller was Allentown Partners LLC, which bought the property in 2007 for $3.9 million.

The 70,612-square-foot shopping center is anchored by a Planet Fitness gym and a Family Dollar store. There is also a Popeyes restaurant and 15 other retailers. The shopping center consists of five buildings that were built between 1982 and 2008.

A Big Woody’s restaurant location at the center closed in July.
