‘From dump to diamonds’: $24M project in Pa. city expected to boost economy
“From Dump to Diamonds” is the theme of a $24 million Brownfields project underway in Williamsport that is creating an athletic complex on the site of the old city dump.
The 28-acre property along Interstate 180 just west of the Maynard Street interchange will by next spring house six 220-foot fenced softball fields and a 400-foot fenced baseball field, all with lights and artificial turf.
