New List Of Best Doctors In Philly Region: Is Yours On It?
A good doctor is something to hold on to. From continuing care to bedside manner, a good doctor can do it all. So where are the best doctors in the Philadelphia region?
Philadelphia Magazine has the answer.
The publication recently released its list of the top doctors in and around Philadelphia.
While there is no shortage of doctors and care facilities in the Philadelphia region, this list features the best of the best, according to the publication.
The list is a "a compilation of the best physicians in the region, whether you’re looking for a dermatologist, a cardiologist, a pediatrician or a family doctor."
Doctors on the list were curated by health-care research and information company Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., which convened a team of physician-led team of researchers to determine which care providers are top-notch in the region.
They looked at professional qualifications, education, hospital and faculty appointments, research leadership, professional reputation, disciplinary history, outcomes data, communication, empathy, and trust among each doctor.
"Our mission is to help people find the best health care by connecting patients with best-in-class health-care providers and to drive better clinical and health outcomes through decision-making informed by highly relevant information, data, and analytics," the company said.
And, in an effort to connect people with the area's best doctors, Philadelphia Magazine created a searchable physician database that includes filters for location and specialty.
The list features Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Ophthalmology as searchable specialties.
Some doctors on the list include plastic surgeon Dr. Laura A. Gowen in Bryn Mawr, OBGYN Dr. DaCarla M. Albright in Philadelphia, and GI specialist Dr. Jeffrey A. Abrams in Woodbury, New Jersey.
